Description
Under the roots of Yggdrasil dwells Nidhögg the dragon (together with seven other dragons; Gravvitner, Moin, Goin, Gravvollud, Ovner, Svavner and Gråbak).
At the top of the tree sits a giant eagle (sometimes said to have no name, but I believe him to be Räsvelg [Hraesvelgr, the corpse eater]). Between the eyes of the eagle sits the hawk Vederfölner.
The squirrel Ratatosk runs between the dragon and the eagle carrying messages from one to the other. The dragon and the eagle are insulting each other.
Ratatosk is pretty much the Internet of Yggdrasil and there is no moderator. Quite to the contrary Ratatosk is happy to encourage the verbal fight between the two. Bad squirrel.
