Asgard - Oden, God of Battle

When Oden understood that one day Ragnarök would come, he decided to build an army.
He taught the art of war to the humans. Warriors fallen in battle was carried to Valhall and became part of Oden’s army, enhärjarna. In the beginning Oden collected the fallen warriors himself. Later female Asa gods - Valkyrierna - did that task.
Oden gave luck and victory in battle. He could however not be completely trusted in these matters. After all he wanted to have the best warriors for his army.
Oden is surrounded by animals associated with the dead left on the battlefield. The ravens Hugin and Munin and, the wolfs Gere and Freke.
Oden’s horse Sleipner has eight legs. Sleipner runs as fast as the wind over land and sea, and even into and out of Helheim itself.
I’ve drawn Sleipner the size of the horses of the Vikings.
